"Worldwide Resumption of Commercial Whaling"

Funding is needed to cover shipping and installation costs to exhibit the "Curtain of 30,000 Origami Whales" in Santiago, Chile during the 60th Annual International Whaling Commission (IWC) meetings in June 2008.

Your contribution to the Origami Whales Project will help to raise awareness and call for action through exhibits of the "Curtain of 30,000 Origami Whales". This curtain, 5 feet high and over 400 feet in length, serves as a memorial for the estimated 30,000 whales slaughtered since the 1986 moratorium on whaling. The curtain was first displayed in May 2007 during the 59th Annual IWC meetings at the Alaska Center for Performing Arts, in early June at the Alaska Oceans Festival in Anchorage, Alaska, and at Whale Day on Maui in February 2008.
