My first trip to Joshua Tree National Park was about 30 years ago, and until recent years, I hadn't been there for over 20 years. Since my return to Joshua Tree, in the Spring of '88, I have realized again, why I always thought of this place as being special. Since my "reunion" with "JTree", I have returned about 20 times to paint and climb the rock there. I feel a sense of awe over the geologic wonders of the rock, and peace in the open spaces of the desert.
