A Call To Action To PROTECT WHALES WORLDWIDE

Whalewatch is a coalition
of over 140 non-governmental
organizations (NGOs) in over
55 countries worldwide, united
by a common belief that
whaling should be banned
because it is inherently cruel.
Their goal:
To maintain the International
Whaling Commission (IWC) ban
on commercial whaling and to
show the world that the whaling
debate is not just about numbers
and conservation, but also
about animal suffering.

Dear Friends,

The “Minds in the Water” Visual Petition campaign has drawn to a close. My gratitude to friends who collected and submitted 521 visual petitions on my behalf. And congratulations to Surfers for Cetaceans for collecting over 11,000 visual petitions to present during the International Whaling Commission meetings in Santiago, Chile this month.

For the Dolphins & Whales,
Peggy Oki

As of mid-May, I am in 2nd place. Your participation could bring me to 1st place.
My thanks to Carl & Nola at NS Ceramic, the
Whaingaroa Environment Center, and Darla at "lucy" (Santa Barbara) for hosting visual petition gatherings, and to all who have already submitted the visual petition for my entry towards sponsorship.
